Action speaks louder than words, and it even speaks louder than thoughts. I am a person who lives close to a solitude life, and I realize that such life, as former sages may have lived, proves to be abundant in wisdom only by abundance in actual practice. Thoreau wrote in his book The Walden the way he was thinking in his life, but with the prerequisite that he was all the time taking actions to live. A person on his own, to get in touch with truth, has to experience how he has done something, and then he could really acquire how the thing should have been done. Thoughts may precede, but are rather based on experience far ahead which not surely adapts to a new issue or problem. To be much more intelligent we have to take action which, since we have books or advice from the else, is not the only reference but the most convincing and unforgettable one.
