A man is well advised to acquire peace away from the depression, the agony and all of the failure. Only if he learns it well could he reflect comfortably, and gradually pace out of the unacceptable state of mind.

Diligence is the optimal way for a mediocre man to procure external recognition. A man who is diligent but not successful may seem like a clown, but diligence is always the mother of success.  

Is everyone's life equal to each other? No one can give an assured answer. Life is measured by length, and is also measured by weight. The only thing is that it is exclusive, and cannot be imitated.

For a man with an ordinary heart, if asked the meaning of life, his answer would be definite that life is in accordance with its conditions, thus he would not be bothered with this question.

Only if one loves labour would he enjoy the happiness therefrom. He who by force is used to labour would not leave behind the tiredness, but owe it to the helpless life.

If a man is not adept in reading, he would miss the most fortunate path to gain talent. The very high status of reading in one’s life is self-evident. Reading is the process of relish, which disagrees with quantity and feeling serious.

I set a ceiling and a floor for my life, the ceiling being success which brings fame and fortune, and the floor being the commonplace which maintains basic happiness. Nobody can go beyond the upper limit, but one doesn’t spend effort to drop under the lower, which a failure is to be.

People in the society are not always willing to appreciate others, so there is no point trying to be generally appreciated. Not everyone is bound to make a name for themselves—they would only in seventies and eighties still have scenes of memories to look back.
