Loneliness is a man's greatest pain. For him a life existing in a lonely world, there is no company. But if a person stands over the world and looks over it, all that he sights will be his wealth.

Sometimes I can't understand what I wrote long ago, but I'm aware I had written it well; because long ago when I first wrote it down, I could understand it perfectly.

There are not always people who can encourage you without lying; you can either believe in a lie or accept a truth: the former heartens you by comfort while the latter toughens you by pain.

The real mighty are often steady and reserved, and in spite of consistent efforts do not like to deliberately showcase their capacity, but have higher than ordinary temperamental strength which, even if not held in awe, should be admirable, and make challengers willingly acknowledge defeat.

What is the joy of writing? Just as you convey the abstract emotion into concrete expression, using choice of words and building of sentences, you have to apply all your mind, and finally get the language that fits your heart. The joy of writing is no other than the process of exploring this language in your innermost being.

Nothing in this world is impartial and perfect. Someone is ugly while probably he is a genius, and to be beautiful it is possible for him to be dull. Those good-looking with gift always have idiosyncrasies which don't adapt to their own lives.

Many people regard being students of a master as their pride, but the real thing to be proud of is just another way: an outstanding student more often than not adds to the prestige of his teacher.

It seems a universal affirmation that the purpose of industry is success, whose being not easily made by every effort is also the reality that everyone has to admit. So one may ask: if my efforts are not insured against failure, are they worth my enthusiasm? Holding on and giving up divide reason in half, but the real insurance has been for whatever the end is, I do not regret.
