There in my life are expectations all over. When the expectations grow larger, they become desires lying at the side of an abyss. If I realized my desires, there would be more of them; if I fell into the abyss, life would still have mercy, and gift me with substantial work to do.

The wrong thing possibly for me is that I do it in a determined time, and to do it right is to trickle like a small stream without limit. Though life is always prompting me with its finitude, I would rather not bring it forward by setting deadlines for everything.

The primary concern of a man bringing in admiration is that he is not bringing about envy. He must stay modest in addition to excellence, or else be avoided by humble minds.

For a man who is free, he would not be a hero defined only by success. He might as well have more devotion than pursuit, and make more unintentional efforts than those that are deliberate. Sometimes a casual lifestyle could have it over a disciplined one, because the best condition of a person doesn’t always lie in a regular timetable.

Sometimes being strong does not change your own fate, but being strong is for the good of others.

I think there are small insets put into big pictures of life so that we are not flurried when we arrange ourselves.

When my tooth aches, I don’t dare to phone the dentist to ask for solutions, only because he told me that the return visit was much later. Sometimes it is too hard to trouble others even though it is my right.

Idealism is easily judged because we are living in a realistic world. We are not advocated to fantasize, and to do things not worthy of profit. Anyone bearing an ideal mind is reminded: You are trying to fulfil your dream all the life, but only to die with nothing which has practical significance. It is all of a dream and anybody, including yourself, can puncture it. But idealism is most adored, because it gives excitement to escape from the mechanism of reality which is rigid, bromidic and disappointing, and because it is the inheritance of disposition that all living people share.
