Aunt Zhiqing said that I am a scholar and will have to go to school after I finish my studies. She specially asked me to offer incense to Emperor Wenchang and even asked me to kneel and pray to him for his blessings on my academic success. I am like a puppet, kneeling devoutly in front of the statue of the Wenchang Emperor, which is four or five meters high, in the smoking hall. Following the instructions of Aunt Zhiqing, I meticulously complete my kneeling and prayer.



Then, we left the temple and it was already daylight. You can see a patch of ancient cypress outside the temple, towering with green waves like clouds. It is said that this is the ancient Shu Road Cuiyun Corridor, which is renowned both domestically and internationally. It is said that it originated in the Qin and Han dynasties and was completed during the Ming and Qing dynasties. Despite experiencing countless vicissitudes, it still thrives and leaves today. They have different postures, some of which are intertwined, with the same root and stem together, forming a coherent structure. There is also a giant cypress with a tilted trunk, forming a tree cavity that can shelter from both rain and wind. Legend has it that after Liu Chan's downfall, he was captured and on his way to Luoyang, he hid under a tree to avoid rain. Therefore, people call this tree the Crown Prince Cypress, also known as the Adou Cypress.



We left the temple and walked back along a main road. On the left is the lush ancient cypress, with morning mist permeating the cypress forest and dewdrops dripping on the emerald cypress. From a distance on the right, you can see a small green river winding eastward, which is the Tongjiang River
