Last night my wife and I were sitting around our newly bought computer and surfing the internet when my five-year-old son joined us, running. Judging from the noises of his running I knew he was wearing my shoes again even though I didn’t raised my head, for this is what he often does. I have athletes feet(脚气)and I am afraid he would be affected ,so I said to him,

“Take off my shoes quickly. There are some invisible house lizards(壁虎) inside. You’ll feel quite itchy(痒)if the house lizards bite you.”

   “I’m not wearing your shoes but my mama’s,” my son explained.

However, my wife and I were too busy surfing the internet to hear him clearly and kept asking him to take off “ Papa’s ” shoes. My son was quite puzzled and shouted,“Mama, when did you give your shoes to papa?” Until then, we lowered our heads and had a careful look at the shoes he was wearing. Yeah! What he was wearing was my wife’s shoes. Both my wife and I couldn’t help but burst into laughter.
