It has been for 5 years since i left Shanghai. and because of the further education, I went back here this year. What shocks me is the terrible dust. 5 years ago, there is no body talked about the blue sky and the white cloud, because we could see it everyday when it was sunny. However, recently, if there are someday one can see a blue sky, he must be delighted and take a photo, then put it on blogs to show it around.
Shanghai is not the unlucky place. Dust invades most of the areas of southeastern in these years. Owing to the pollution of air, our sight is shortened, which makes us depressed while walking around outside. On the New Year's day I went back to my home, located in a some village of Changsha, Hunan province. With the blue sky and white cloud over head, and stars shinning at night, the feeling was so great that I didn't want to go back.Sometimes I thought what we are seeking for. Having a look at the life today, especially in cities, expenditure is becoming higher and higher, and rise of house prices is always going ahead that of our salaries, and over-pressures are invade our health, and the air which we are living for is getting worse.
Despite the rapid growth of economy, I think it is high time to pay a serious attention to the environment. If things goes like that, the longevity will be shorten. Just as the saying of sustainable development, economy development should aim to serve people, and create a comfortable environment both mentally and physically for citizens.
