Big Mooncakes and Small Mooncakes
Mid Autumn Festival is ahead. The elders like to say "8-15 is Mid Autumn Festival, somebody happy somebody sad" There is no need to be sad or suffer. We are all living in times of peace with basic sufficiency of clothing and food, so we should set aside our troubles and be happy with what we have now. What is destined to you in life would be yours, what is not destined to you don't chase, just accept it as fate. We can never have enough and we would just keep chasing the things we want. In the end, we come to old age, tired and still chasing more things we want. Everybody have to own problems and frustrations, very few are really happy and satisfied. That is the reality of life.
I have received several boxes of nice mooncakes. I wonder why they make the mooncakes so big. I know the traditional mooncakes are big but these days people can't eat so sweet and big mooncakes. I opened a box of small mooncakes and enjoyed it with some hot fragrant Chinese tea. It is so tasty but after eating the mooncakes but the whole day I have lost my appetite and don't want to eat dinner. It is still nice and tasty. I have also decorated my windows with some brightly lighted red and yellow paper lanterns. The are so colorful and bright when the lights are off. Friends would be coming over to have dinner during the festival holidays, so they would have a nice feeling here.
