Hailstorm in Guangzhou

973 views. 2013-3-22 12:41

Few days ago, in Guangzhou, there was a heavy hailstorm (ice like stones) falling from the sky. The ice falling breaks car glass windows and can hurt our head. This became the talk of the town. Some superstitious residents believe that hailstorms means there would natural disasters on the way.

Whether we believe this or not is our own choice. Some residents prefer to say it is better to believe than not. Some say this is superstition. I personally don't believe in that but looking back I have seen hailstorm in 2001 and soon there we had diseases like SARS, floods and drought in Guangzhou. We are now enjoying relatively good economic life in China and people are generally much better off than before. We hope this good life would go on and improve further.

You would be scared if you see it. Don't look up to the sky. The sky is green and grey. The hails fall heavily and everybody running away.

Unfortunately, disasters did happen after such strange phenomenon like hailstorms. We cannot blame conservative minded elderly people from such belief. I think the best way to deal with this is, if you don't belief, then it would not happen, but if you believe it, it may come true you are stressing yourself thinking about it.

Times have changed, people around the world have now know how to deal with disasters effectively. No worry.
