The following is a news report from Illinois Alumni--a magazine published by the University of Illinois, USA. Here I am happy to tell you that the name J in the news report refers to me. For the sake of privacy, I deliberately use J as the abbreviation of my name.
Far away from Urbana, on the shores of Qingdao, J hopes for smooth sailing. The city is hosting the Olympic Regatta, where skiffs and windsurfers, grand sailboats and dinghys will ply the waves in a sport that's been part of the Games since 1900. To prepare, J and 19 others from the city of Qingdao enrolled in 2006 in the China Executive Leadership Program in the UI campus, learning about event planning,...and the like.
"It's Qingdao's first time to host the Olympic events, so we are eager to do...the best one in hsitory,"J said."We didn't have much experience to host the major events, so we would like to learn more advanced experiences and modern concepts from the United States."
