Extramarital affair is the most immoral thing in American people's eyes, according to a survey by Gallup.
The survey shows that 92% of the interviewees think that extramarital affairs conducted by married men or women is the most immoral thing and can not be tolerated, while only 6% of those can accept this kind of affairs.
The second most immortal thing is polygamy which means that one man has more than one spouse at a time.
It's unexpected that extramarital affair is regarded as the most immoral in the eyes of the American people, because America is famous for sexual openness in the world. In fact, American people don't care much about love affairs of unmarried people. They can even put up with premarital sex. But for those who are married, it is a different situation. Married couple need loyalty to each other. They can not tolerate adultery.
Although there are different cultures between China and the United States, American people pay more attention to family values just as our Chinese do.
