Once upon a time, there was a place called America.
There was an old man who had three sons. The elder two sons worked in downtown while the youngest one lived in rural area with his father. One day, came a gentleman who asked the old man if he could take his son to the downtown. The old man refused with anger and tried to drive the gentleman out of the door. The gentleman said, "If I introduce a girlfriend in downtown to your son, Could I take him away? " The father declined firmly once again. The gentleman didn't give up and continued asking, "What if the girl is Rockefeller's daughter? " The father admitted after thinking it over.
Several days later, the gentleman met with Mr. Rockefeller, an oil tycoon and the richest person in America. He said, "Could I arrange a blind date for your dear daughter?" Mr. Rockefeller replied, "Absolutely not. And get out." The man went on without haste, "What if the boyfriend, or the would-be son-in-law of yours, is the vice president of the World Bank? " Rockefeller dumbed for a while and accepted the arrangement finally.
And then, the gentleman went for the president of the World Bank and advised, "You should nominate a vice president immediately." The president smiled and said, "I have had several vice presidents here. Why do I need to have another one? And why immediately?" The gentleman explained with confidence,"The one I recommend for the nomination is the son-in-law of Rockefeller. Is he available?" The president agreed. And the youngest son became the vice president of the World Bank as well as Rockefeller's son-in-law.
This story tells us that how important the operation is. In this story, the ability of the youngest son does not matter. How to operate becomes the key point. What is your take?
