How have you been there, my teacher? I'm fine here. We have returned to our school, and classes are resumed. Every time when I have maths, I always think of you and the exact detail of your gesture when you taught us in the classroom. My dearest teacher, when would you come to us and teach us again? I really hope I would join in your class.
The above is parts of a letter named "A Letter to Heaven", written by a survivor of Yushu earthquake, who is a junior high school student, missing his teacher who lost her life in the 7.1 magnitude earthquakes that have taken away more than 2,000 lives.
After the disaster, a lot of people reached out their hands donating
money, tents, clothes, quilts and so on to help the homeless. Last
night, CCTV held a large donation activity raising money of 2.175
billion yuan for the post-disaster reconstruction. Many aritists,
athletes, celebrities and ordinary people attended the activity and
donated their money as well as their love.
All people in China are immersed in the enormous grief. In order to remember the victims of Yushu prefecture, the State Council stipulates April 21 as a National mourning day, lowering national flag at half-staff, and stopping all public entertainment activities.
We may not have a lot of money to donate, but we have love. We can help them indirectly by doing our work well. For example, you can make sure the donation goods will be delivered as soon and safe as possible if you are involved in the activity, just like that.
Let's pray for the victims and do what we can to help the survivors. God bless.
