This summer, I had a wonderful time in Tibet, which is usually called “The roof of the world” or “The hometown of Gods”. In fact, it is not my first time, but I still cannot help myself as soon as I got off the T29 train from Beijing and breathed the air of Lhasa.

The blue sky that is beyond your eyesight, white clouds whose images are out of your imagination and keeping changing, bright sunshine which is filled with fragrance of milk, green pastures that feed countless yak and Tibetan sheep, the air which is clean and clear … Everything stays the same as two years ago when I first came here, however, time has passed and people have changed. What stands still there is the fantastic scenery, like stretching-out Snow Mountains and the everlasting star sky.

Pilgrims who have traveled a long way to Lhasa are praying at the gate of “Dazhao” Temple, the destination of their travel. Tourists who come from all over the world are bargaining in different languages. Mysterious statures of the Buddha keep sitting in the lotus, addressing the truth and abstrusity of the life, the society, the world, and the universe.

Climbing the Snow Mountains, having a rest at the foot of glacier, drinking special Oil Tea, listening to Lamas’ debates about logic and life, watching “Tangka” artists put their dreams and thoughts into colorful images, and tasting delicious ice cream made from yak’s milk… That’s what I all did in this summer.

Undoubtedly, Tibet is a land full of stories and sphinxes. It is so grand and recondite for us to understand and every time you come here, you will get new feelings and unforgettable experiences. Indeed, for me, it is always on my travel plans; so, I have to say that one day, I will be back once more.
