confusing
Last day aftrenoon i recieved a phone message from a classmate said:" happy Winter Solstice ,it is said that in this day everyone need to eat dumpling to keep away cold,so do you." I was confused,is this day the Winter Solstice? Then i looked it up in the dictionary and got the answer.
It is not the exact day that Winter Solstice should be,and the exact day is the same day in next week.Anyway,i must thank for her message to remaind me such an important day.As you may know,The Winter Solstice is one of the twenty-four solar terms,when in this day ,every family will have a big meal to celebrate to coming of midwinter.However,different districts have different ways to cheer for it,some place will kill a chicken ,some will make dumplings.No matter how busy they are,they will lay down their work in hand and have a rest.
This is the culture of our Chinese .

- how time flies! another midwinter is coming soon; it recalls me one party when i was a sophomore; on that day, our full class got together to buy the materials, and then do the dumplings by ourselves; standing around the table, eating, drinking; that picture looked rather warm! it's one of the most happiest day in the college; it's unforgotable!
