Newyork Times imitation(1)Welcome your imitation!

987 views. 2010-10-1 23:41 |

First of all, allow me to wish all of you to have a happy National Day!Have a big lunch!hehe
On following i want to do is the imitation of today's Newyork Times sentenses which may be a little longer and harder for us initial writing learners.Nevertheless,i select them because of their beautiful of their ability to organise piecemeal words into powerful or potent sentenses, whatever, carrying the goodwill and useful information for all of us.What i want to tell all of you, including me,is that everthing starts harsh and in the long run,it wil become smooth. So,let's forget about the results, just take action and get started! Our first self-learning on English writing.

PS:I will write some imitation composition of my own below the sentences i pick up.There may be some mistakes or some correction would make it better.Hope all of you give your advice or your imitations in terming of learning with each other.I appreciate it beforehand.Let's take the feeling of writing!

1.Amid the howling motorcades, the scrums of burly security guards and the buzz of countless meetings around

the United Nations in recent days, the Venerable Bun Saluth, a Cambodian Buddhist monk with a shaved head,

stood out with his vivid saffron robes, his unassuming manner —and for taking what some might call tree hugging to an entirely different level.

me:Amid the hailing crowds and waving flags, hordes of enormous festival celebrations and the variety of countless television shows being under way through out the National Day in Oct 1th,Mr.ying,a hardworking

youngster with a ardor hidden in his heart, wear his new coat, sit at a an acer laptop, his pious attitude-and for

writing what he is thinking meaningful in his mind.

2.Beyond that, scientists say, possibly lifesaving medicines or knowledge might disappear forever. Such losses

are likely to worsen because the factors driving them —changing habitat, pollution, overexploitation, invasive alien species and climate change — are intensifying or at least not diminishing, scientists say.

me:Above that,i want to predict that, presumably about five to ten years later, the E-book will take the place of

traditional books forever,Such cases may become truth in terms of the factors driving them-changing of reading pattern in a much accelerating world,high-tech of new ways of reading, low expenditure on books-

are intensifying or at least not declining, judging from my prospective.
