I entered Xi’an International Studies University in 2006, the first memory of my dormitory is still freshly. When I went into my dormitory, there had two roommates already. They were Li Haiwen, who came from Yangquan, Shanxi, and Chen Liang, the only southern student in this room from Loudi, Hunan. In later few days, the other three roommates came here one by one. They were Lu Song, a Qingdao boy, and other two natives, Bai Wenqiang and Deng Jian. So, this family had been formed ever since then.

   Everybody is special, and everyone has his own character. Especially considering that we six people came from five provinces, which means we have different cultural backgrounds and different traditions. That is an interesting thing. When we telephoned our families, there existed various native languages. Even faced with the same thing, we might call it in different names. As to the specific description of every single person, let me show you a brief sight. B is a Hui people, that makes him the specialist one of us. What’s more, he really has a favour to broadcast, and he dreams to be a broadcaster. Fortunately to him, his dream has already come true. Li and C share a lot common characters, they are both keen on Crazy English. Now, they are both busy preparing the Graduate Admission Examination. Li wants to enter Shanghai International Studies University， and C’s target is Fudan University. Good luck to them! Then, D is a humorous guy. He has a gift to make people laugh, and he is also trying to past the Graduate Admission Examination, he want to go into Shanghai University. Maybe he will meet Li and C in Shanghai one day. The last one and also the luckiest one, the Qingdao boy Lu has been received by Shandong University. In my opinion, I always consider him as a playboy.

At the first year, we had a very happy dormitory life. I remember there had once a Dormitory Decoration Competition in our school, and that was our first collective activity. We discussed the theme and the details. At last, we reached agreement. The theme of our decoration is called’ The Woods Under Stars’, and we made a pleasant name for our dormitory, ’The Paradise’. Meaning that this room is our second home, we are families to each other, and we will live a happy life in next four years. Then, we went out to buy the materials for our decoration. In a early morning, we got up and started our work. Do you have any idea how we got the leaves we need? Let me tell you, we picked some Chinese parasol tree’s leaves on the street. As a reward for our hard work, we finally got the third prize of this competition.

The truth was just as we expected, we really had a happy time in this room. On weekends, we usually had some arrangements. Sometimes we went to the East Street to go shopping, and sometimes we went to Hui People Street to eat Paomo. On the May Day, we went to Xingqing Park and had a fine day. We took many photos, we also experienced one of the recreational facilities here called Catch The Moon In Heaven, and it was incredibly exciting. Even if we didn’t go outside, we still had a lot of fun in dormitory. We considered playing King Of The Fighters 97 as one of our entertainments. Everyone of us was an excellent player, and it was so exciting to win another. Except those happiness, we absolutely had some quarrels. But that could do nothing with our friendship, we would still be good friends a moment later.

That is my dormitory life, and those are my roommates. We call the dormitory paradise to express the love feeling we felt about it. And at this moment , we are gonna leave from there. I feel so bad, and I don’t wanna say goodbye to my roommates and our dormitory. There has so many happy memories that I will keep in my mind for the whole life. 5A—110, the paradise, our paradise.
