I’m a senior of XISU, and my major is Journalism(English).In the senior year, we have no class at all. Which means we are free for a whole year, and which means that we have more social practice work to finish. In our School of Journalism & Communication, we are demanded to finish an internship lasted 3 moths. That is very important, because it decides whether you can get the 3 credits of internship. And once you lose, you would fail your school at the same time. So, I consider the internship seriously, and I tried my best to gain an oppprtunity.

   The first chance was in last semester. I heard from my classmate that the Global Times Website was in shortage of interns. So I sent an e-mail containing my resum to this website. A few days later, I got their reply said they want me to participate the interview. Next afternoon, I went there and was interviewed by a manager. She asked some questions, I remember one of them was “ Can you operate Dreamwater and Html program?” I really had never heard any of them. The result was obvious, I failed.

   But I’m not that kind of person who are easily to give up. I have a strong sense of persistence. And after this failed experience. I applied for seversl times to practice at GTW and I got another 2 chances to be interviewed. The second time I wen to GTW happened about a month later of the first one. This time, I gain the opportunity of taking part in the writen test. After finishing that I went back to school nervously, because I was supposed to go home next day. Once I was employed, I would have to get a cancellation immediately. That evening I got a phonecall, and I was told my option about news was not suit its character. Means I failed again. Te third time and also the last time I went there occurred about 2 moths ago. I saw a massage on Baicai.com which said GTW asked for a few BBS editors. I had no idea that this job was formal employment, and I applied again. To made things worse, after the interview I even got no reply.

   So, I gave up my mind to practice at GTW. I sent my resum to many websites and companies through applying websites that I credited. Fortunately, I got many replies. One of them was from a electronic company of Dongguan. They interviewed me tiwice by phoning. And finally they told me that I was employed, and asked me to go to the general company as soon as possible. That sounds wired, and everything seems strange. Especially after listening my friends told me about the pyramid scheme. I thought it could be such kind a company, and I didn't go to Dongguan. The others were never continued after the first contact.

   Until the middle of November, I still had no find a place to practice at. But I still kept on searching informations about internship. As a reward, I found out a piece of information from DioEnglish. I sent my resum without hesitation, and got a primary test reply. I answered these questions, and finished the most difficult one. Which asked me to listen a piece of 2 minutes English speech record, and then translated it into Chinese. Besides I was also demanded to write a composition about my feeling after listening it in English. I finished it as I was demanded. Later, I got a superior test reply. This time, I was asked to write five compositions on 5 themes on DioEnglish, and then write an article about English study websites of China. At first, I thought to give up. But I took a second thought and changed my mind. You all know, you may fail even if you tried, but you would must fail if you never try. So I insisted on finishing the test, and finally I passed through it. I’m now an intern editor of DioEnglish.

   My mottoes are “Never say die”,and “Only seek method for success, never find excuse for defeat”. After my persisting, I finally got the chance of practicing at DioEnglish. That strengthen my belief of persistence. It is sensible to say “Persistence makes victory”. Only if you followed this rule, it could be possible for you to success.
