Why There Are So Many Thieves

I don’t know why there are so many thieves? 
They are neither disabled nor aged. They are young, they are strong. 
Why don’t they do some formal jobs?
Perhaps, the main reason is that they are lazy. Thay dislike to make money through hardworking, thay only wanna earn it easily and relaxedly.
What a shame! I reagard those people are shameless. How will their children feel when they know their fathers are thieves? 
I am curious about that.
This afternoon. I saw a thief, right behind me. I really think that he had the intention to pick my bag, however, I had vigilance about that and he didn’t make it. 
When I was surfing the Internet, I found out there was somebody who crouched behind me and did some mysterious things.
I looked back off, and he stood up. Then I realized that there was a thief. Shit!
He stood behind me for a long time. I watched his behaviors by his reflection in the mirror hunging on the wall. He recognised that there had nothing to do with me, so he left and tried to steal others.
I was totally happy that I had protected my stuffs. But unfortunately, there still had somebody become the victims. After a while, I heard a boy talked with a girl about stealing. Then I looked back, I saw the girl’s bag was lying on the floor. I understood she had been stolen of something.
If there was no thief, what a wonderful world it would be! 
But it is just a dream. So, watch out when you go outside, no matter where you go and what you do. You can’t be too careful!

I mean they are healthy and strong, but they choose to be a thief, that is really shameful.

- Someone told me thieves can earn a lot each day, much more than normal workers. I guess that's one of reasons there are so many thieves.

- Hard to understand it. Stealing is not easy at all, need a lot of focus and plan. There is also the risk that thiefs may be beaten up badly or arrested by police. If they can find jobs, i don't think they would choose to steal. People are quite alert nowadays, anyone goes near, they will watch their things.

- my first phone was stolen yeas ago ,now i am qurte alert when i go outside especially in the crowd .However ,i think the security management is good in beijing although fews of people everywhere
