In a snack bar I encountered a old woman. She is very talkative, so the bar’s owner, she and me started to chat. Of course she was leading role of the talk.

She said, she was 63 years old. I was a little surprise. Before, I thought she is over forty. She has a son, 28 years old. Her husband is in Suzhou, she is in Nanjing. From young, they always separated in two cities.

She said she enjoyed the kind of life. Their living habits are very different, so she doesn’t like with her husband and his family. Her son is very good. When she was ill, her son looked after her. Her son is still single, etc. She talked a lot.

The owner of the snack bar said she should take care of her husband as a wife. I said nothing. I didn’t want to disagree with her. I knew what she said was not the truth. But I didn’t want to reveal it, Because I like the old woman. I appreciate her innocent, her activity, her young mind.

I think she has no choice. Maybe sometime she was lonely, but she still looks for happy for herself. She doesn’t like her husband’s family. She likes freedom, she can’t tolerant with some people, some stiff customs. But she can’t say so, because someone will despise her.

Don’t like most women, they must be tolerant though they have many unhappy things in life. Tolerances are very hard, but honey comes after hardship. She doesn’t like tolerance, so she is free, she is also lonely, no pleasure of family life.

This way is good, also bad. But I can’t choose as her. I love my husband, I choose live with him, I care for him. Future we will have our baby. Although we quarrel sometime, we brawled once. But we know we love each other. Life is a competition between a great gap and a great love.
