The pianist (I like him so much)

              Who is Pianist Ritcher

Ritchter is a Russian virtuoso and great pianist with the amazing technical ability. It is said that the most famous Moscow Conservatory piano teacher Neuhaus(also Richter's teacher) considered Richter to be "the genius pupil, for whom he had been waiting all his life", while acknowledging that he taught Richter almost "nothing".  But Richter inspired his teacher in piano performance very much.

Before he studied piano as a major, he barely regarded piano lesson as necessary. He played piano without teacher and then joined the band to be a accompaniment for singers and dancers. During this period, he completely trained his ability of sight-reading, this was why he can memorise a book of piano pieces within few weeks and then performed it in recital.

After he opened a concert, he began to consider learning piano at Moscow conservatory with the most famous piano teacher in 20th century-Neuhaus. There was no pianist who started learning piano at the age of 22 and was famous with his finger technique except Richter because it's about the physical limitation such as the age limitation of athlete. Richter had the special method to train his finger and he developed the special method to play peices with great color tone. He studied the great amount of music work during his 4 year study in Moscow and then he appeared as a professional musician at the world stage.

At the time of world war II, he performed at every concert at ruined houses and some remained churches. For this reason, he developed his style to be very violent. The sound from his finger were always over loud like the lion roaring around the concert hall. But at the time of world war, everything will make you related to the violence, restlessness, rebellion. He started to perform more modern composer's musics like Rachmaninoff and prokofiev. Their pieces were full of passion, violence, desperation and the willingness of peace. When Richter played Porkofiev's pieces, he made the sound like hitting the steel, let the piano cried recklessly. But he still controlled the rhythm of music, which intensified the music even more, made the music full of tension, let the audience felt composer's music world. Prokofiev acclaimed Richter as "the great performer of my music" and very appreciated rchter's way to perform his Sonata. Prokofiev dedicated many of his works to Richter.

During his later years before his death, He performed always in the small town and small concert hall. And sometimes he even gave the performance free of charge. He claimed that this was the way to let more people who were not able to pay for the concert had the chance to listen classical music. He always brought the music score in his performance and set the stage with only a small lamp lighting the piano. He thought that it's the better way to let both performer and audience focus on music itself rather than anythingelse which was distracting.

Frankly speaking, I'm not numb at piano music, except for those tunes in the movie "The Legend of 1900".
