Did you guys read history

821 views. 2010-1-28 19:29 |

As I had already told I don't like reading when I was student, especially reading history. Because I felt history is boring at that time. Recently I begin to read history, I have found something interesting from reading history. You know, histories are not only something stories that written in books, it is talking about something really happened in the past. We have an idiom called “erudite and informed(博古通今)" , though reading history we could learn a lot of things, like how to get along with other, how to overcome fears, etc.

From reading history book, you could learn what had happened in the past. And the things which had been recorded is important at that time, I mean the history book only record the important things and people. It is elite. For example, the people who lived in the ancient times might be killed if he say something wrong, especially the government official. Through reading history you could learn how to talk to others. Different words to different people.

In a word, the history is wonderful.

I like history either especially the foreign history. Like the Ancient Rome and the American history. I don't like the Qing dynasty, which is corrupt and incapable. From reading the history, I can know some interesting things.

I know you mean the late Qing dynasty. But the early Qing dynasty is very strong. There are many great emperors, like Kangxi, Yongzheng, Qianlong.

I admit that the early Qing dynasty is strong enough. But it also leads to the  arrogance. If the Qing dynasty issue the open strategy, there would be some changes in China.
