Sweet day, so cool, so calm, so bright!
The bridal of the earth and sky-
The dew shall weep thy fall to-night.
For thou must die.
Sweet rose,whose hue angry and brave.
Bids the rash gazer wipe his eye.
Thy root is ever in its grave.
And thou must die.
Sweet spring, full of sweet days and roses.
A box where sweets compacted lie.
My music shows ye have your closes.
And all most die.
Only a sweet and virtuous soul.
Like season'd timber, never gives.
But though the whole world turn to coal.
Then chiefly lives.

美妙的春天，充满了美好的日子和芳香的玫瑰，
如一支芬芳满溢的盒子，
我的音乐表明你们也有终止，
万物都得消逝。
唯有美好而正直的心灵，
犹如干燥备用的木料，永不走样；
纵然整个世界变为灰烬，
它依然流光溢彩。
