Correspondence is Being Printed out

886 views. 2012-9-7 19:36 |

 In recent years, more and more people’s correspondence is being printed out instead of being written out by hand. Some people think it’s a good thing while others think it’s bad. As far as I concerned, I agree with the latter.

The reasons that people think it’s a good thing. First of all, correspondence being printed out is easy to read comparing with being written out. After all, different people have dissimilar handwriting. Furthermore, it’s very convenient to classify and file as all letter papers are in the same size.

However, apart from the two advantages described above. We should not fail to see correspondence being printed out also have many drawbacks that could not be a substitute completely.

Firstly, correspondence written out by hand is a traditional means people connecting with each other, which has a long history and it’s a human culture, to some extent. It’s convenient for people who has the professional equipment as well as know how to operate it. Yet it’ll be a problem for those who have no idea about typing by computer and printer, especially for the elder.

Secondly, people concern more about the person besides the information inside. And the unique handwriting is pretty much representing the person. People can distinguish if it’s the right one from it.

The last but not the least, correspondence being written out by hand helps to remind of the past and recalls the memory at the moment. The moment would come out clear and vivid, as if it happened just now. In this time being, people would be touched whenever they look at it.

Yes, computers have changed everything in communications. It would be difficult for me to compose a letter in handwriting now. All the amendments and crossouts would make the letter look horrible. However, I still use pen and paper to write letters to my friends, because they say I have excellent handwriting... hehehe.

On the other hand, there are lots advantages in computerised writing, namely;
* Neat and Tidy, can write quickly, easy to amend, spellcheck
* Easy to keep on the computer and easy to find even after years
* Send over the internet in a few seconds and free of charge
* Get a quick reply with your original message attached
* Save the environment because less use of paper

I guess, we would not go back to the days of handwriting but personal messages should be written by hand.
