After the first wave of assigning, all of the officers were ordered to read the map of South Korea, and causal training added some subject like distinguishing the uniform of the People’s army. Nearly 20 days past, the second wave of U.S. Army would be transported to Pusan, this time I am the one of them, the rest part of the 24th infantry division and the 1st cavalry regiment of 39th infantry division.

Our temper was not so poor, because the figure of Korea was so laggard and so easy to defeat in us mind. We kept such this kind of idea until we join the meeting which been hold just before the departure.

At meeting, General MacArthur introduced the situation of the warfare to us. I concluded his speech, there were two points. First, the North Korean army’s weapons were not worse than ours, second, the effect of our advanced army just as accompanying the South Korean army in retreat. I thought the real situation may be worse than he had described. Because this old man always understate his fault.

Anyhow, From this day on, we started the expedition in Korea.
