Do you believe the constellation(星座)

When you ask persons, especially the youngsters, if they believe the constellation. Nine out of ten may give you positive answers. They look the constellation as the astrology which is the study of the positions of the stars and the movements of the plans in the belief that they influence human affairs and describe what will happen to the people.

But I hold the very negative one because I even don’t know what information they convey to me.

Many of the supporters always use the traits of the constellation to predict strangers they met for the first time. They know the strangers’ birthday during their talks and search in their mind for the information which they had read from the books of the constellation. Then they think they “know” the style of that man.

They believe so much that sometimes can be called superstition, the trust after being captivated. Let me give you an obvious example instead of the abstract above. Have you ever been in the situation that you got the answers before the CET-4 (I hope not)? This was the real experience a friend of mine, who failed the exam after getting the “answers” before the exam, because all the answers were irrelevant. He said: “I don’t have any patience to go on writing because I got the ‘answers’ .”

Yes, I can’t understand him more. When you get the so-called answers, you will lose your attention on working on any question. Even, for someone who would compare the given answers to what he does by himself, he will choose the right aspect to suit the former and find mistakes of the latter, because they believe the given ones. Then he will find no matter how ridiculous the given ones are, he always find the true aspect. So he fill the blanks with the given ones instead of what he dose which maybe the correct answers.

Likewise, when you meet a new person, you will cover him by the so-called characteristics from books instead of your own felling and judgment of what they are. I always wander that how can a book describe a person as the book itself is written by a man and why there are so many fans?

Well, you may ask me what to do about the constellation?

It has existed for centuries. So, let’s live on it. Take it as a joke on dinner table or a topic when making new friends. But don’t regard it seriously.
