She quited the job. Without any notice, she left the office. Siyin.

No wonder director Tony was so upset this morning. He even shouted to the manager Summer, the experiented and qualitifed assistanc. But I didn’t learn this news until I asked Yan if Siyin asked for leave again. Her seat was empty. She had courses today? But Jin was here. She had something urgent?

“She’s quited.” Yan answer, pulling her head from the screen, she turned and faced me. “I doubted whether she asked for leave or not. I asked William and only got to know that she’s quited.”

Something in our heart sank. Why quit?

“But, why? Why quit?” Though she hasn’t graduated, her design abilities win favorable comments from Tony and everyone can tell Tony likes Siyin very much. Also, she had promised to stay in the company even after the graducation. Days ago she also attended our meetings. Why? Why everything happened without any notification?

“I don’t know.” Said Yan.

The news stirred my emotions and I got qutie upset for trhe rest of the day. Why left? GP is a fast-developing company. Small as it is, but it has a big picture. Why left? Why left?

The director must be very annoyed. Every one leaves the compnay. The qualified leave; the unqualified leave also. Then, who will be the person that stay and protect and are devoted to GP’s development under the instrcution of Tony, a very strick professors…

During the five months I work in GP, many people I have seen who enter the company with ambition but leave at the end. Reasons? For most of them, they don’t have the right attitude and don’t have the requried abilites. For some, like Siyin, I don’t know…maybe they think GP is a small company? I really don’t know.

Facing colleagues’ leaving, when can I be able to be as calm as Yan?
