Sunday, 30th of December

“Will you join us? The countdown to the new year?” Jelly asked me, both in QQ and in MSN.

I hesitated. They are all party-goers. I have no doubt that they will have a crazy evening, which impresses me on one side, exhausts me on the other side. I have no long holidays like six days they have. I just have one day—the first day of 2013 off—and then, everything is as usual.

“What your final plan for that evening then?” I asked. First, Jelly said they wanted to do the countdown in the new GZ TV tower, then the plan was denied when I asked how we went back home then. Then, they suggest we climb the Baiyuan Mountain, which was denied either for the same reason.

“At eight or nine o’clock meet at the college town, then night snack, then stay overnight.”

I have no oppositions for the first two options, however, for stay overnight, I can’t bear it.

“Then, it means no sleeping that night.” I murmured, still considering.

“Then just let it be, we won’t count you in.” Before I made a decision, Jelly had made for me.

But, I know, she will find my-not-going disappointing and even annoying. Party-destroyer, is that how she defines me? But the fact is, I have never been a party-goer. I just want to spend the time with someone I want to be with. In the past four years during the college, I had no idea what a coundown party was. Usually, I just squeezed myself in my bunk with Novel, and with C.C. and heard the counting from outside of the window. Because every watch has every time, thus it’s very nature that we heard three or more counting when the midnight came. “Three, two, one!” “Three, two, one!” …then, our dorm enjoyed the laughings outside and sank into our dream. Party? Besides eating and chatting, what else? I only know Mandy and Jelly there, but Mandy has her boyfriend and must have no time for me, Jelly is a eater and drinker and she is friends of everyone….

Perhaps all these are the excuses I find to defense my decision. But, such a special day, I just want to be with my beloved; if they are far away from me, then I can just do the reading. Alone, is better than being with a crowd of people I don’t know.

But, how can the time fly so fast? Its traces? Where are its traces? It has been nine months, if no more, since the day I left the campus. I look for them in the diary, but only find that just sevearl entries cannot fill the days full. I am being lazy since graduation. No diary every day…But you know, I have so many things that I want to tell you…about everything…
