25th of May, Saturday    Rainy

On 23rd, a terrible rain was over, and it seems the drops had cleared off not only the staff on earth, also anything in the dark sky, leaving a full moon hang alone, shining. Then we had a night covered with bright moonlight.

I had a window of clear moonlight. Jumped on the bed and lay on the end, with only few cetermeters distance to the window. Then I lay myself flat, facing the window, the moonlight directly. Unlike the heat of the sunshine, I didn’t feel hot nor warm under the silver light, however, my mind felt that, the comfort brought by the light when you were bathed in that bright moonlight.

“You are going to absorb the essence of the nature and transform yourself to a fairy?” Li asked.

“Not a fairy. A demon exactly.”

And I can recall, the same beautiul moonlight I had saw twice ago and both of them comforted my restless mind. One was saw on my way back to home from Aunt Yan’s house. I was preparing for the college entrance exams at that time. Because I needed a ventlation, I went to see my few-month-old cousin. His innocent smiles and cries were always able to free me from the tests and pressures. Then, there was a time I was back from my cousin’s house, when I was walking alone across the cummunity park, I found the bright and clear moon in the high sky. Pale but bright, it embraced everything, the big trees, the rockwork, the benches, the buildings. I was alone under it but I didn’t feel sacre. Instead, I thought I was lucky because I was the only one at that moment who had the privilege to enjoy such a silent night.

Another one happened when I was a junior, if I remember right. In our dorm, E608. A summer night. Very late time of an evening. Novel, Jingru, and C.C all fell into sleep and I just got up to go to the toilet. Then I saw the moonlight who crept secretly via our windor into our floor. Same color, silver and bright and clear. Same comfort, because they were there, Novel, Jingru and C.C.

And on 24th, it still rained heavily, and I thought it’s impossible for the moon to blow away the cloud and shine like what it did last night. And that I went to sleep. But to my surprise, when I turned myself to another side and just in that second, I was awoke by the square spots of the moonlight casted on the bed.
