“Call your daddy often.” Said uncle Ping via phone.
This is the first time uncle Ping called me. When his name appeared on the screen, I was surprised and scared. He won’t ring me unless there are some emergency or serious issues. Did the quarrel between Papa and Mama get worse?
“No. It’s getting better because he comes back for meals these two days. He didn’t back and eat in the past few days.”
Such a stobborn old man. It’s getting better only because he now is back for meals?...
“But you seldom call back and talk with your father often these days. Just, just call him often.” Uncle Ping continued.
“I just talked with him three times today.” But yes, it’s true that I didn’t want to call him or answer his phone calls. I didn’t want to talk with him because I am afraid I will be mad at him.
“That’s fine. Just don’t be mad at him. Don’t lose temper, ok?” How does uncle Ping know I am about to lose my temper and shout at Papa every time I talk with him? Then, no need to conceal anything.
“I am trying, and in fact that’s the reason why I don’t talk with him. I’m afraid I will be mad at him. And I don’t want to behave myself like that.”
“Don’t be mad at him. Imagine, your mother quarrel with him at home, and if you quarrel with him via phone also, how will he feel? Don’t lose temper and shout at him, ok?”
“But I just can’t do that. I can’t while knowing what he has done and is doing to Mama. I know it’s not all his fault for this quarrel and Mama has hers also but I just can’t let Mama bear to live the life because he is so so so unreasoning.” Mama talked with me in the morning today. “She was caught with asthma that time but he didn’t let her sleep nor relax, just keep quarreling, asking for the id card, the bank card, and the real estate docs!”
“But he is your dad. Don’t be mad at him.”
“I will.”
Then the conversation was end.
You know sometimes I think maybe devoice is a good choice not only for both of them, but for Emma and me. Just too tired. Why make things so difficult?...

- Well, they always say, even the most righteous judge cannot judge family matters. However, you as a daughter can do a lot to improve their relationship. Be soft on your father, even if he is on the wrong road. Show your care towards him so that he knows the family cares about him, then he would see money and other things as immaterial.
Tell your father that he and your mother has already spend most of their lives together. Seen the worst times and better times. What is there that they cannot handle. Why argue now at this age? Just live your advanced age peacefully and respectfully. Aren't you proud to have a daughter like me? What else you need? Your father should feel better and improve his relationship with your mother.

Sometimes I just wonder it's because I am not at their age, or because as a female I can't see things from my father, a man's eyesight. I know it's hard for both of them, but I just can't understand why he behaves in this way, rude and unreasonable.
