5th of June

5th of June, Wednesday    Cloudy, seem going to rain again

“No money, no sense of security.”

More than 15 days I have been out of work. Anxiety is growing day by day. I need to find a new job before I forget how to use English; I need to get out of this boring idle life asap; I need to earn money not only to survive, but to enjoy myself. And no money, no sense of security, both Clare and I agree on this.

“That’s because you don’t have self-confidence on yourself. If you believe you are able to find a job in a short time, then you won’t need to worry about this.” Li’s reply always surprised me. Then he went on. “When I was travelling in Yunnan, one day I just had two yuan left in my pocket but with this two yuan I still kept travelling for another ten more days before I stopped.”

There is half-half in his words. On one hand, anxiety is necessary for it can push you to go forward in the idle life. On the other hand, don’t let the anxiety develop to an extend that it’s out of control. Too much anxiety will make you hard to breath. And, self-confidence, is a good way to surpress this emotion.

Anothing thing. The JOB here is different from one to another. For Li, working is only the way to earn his fair for next trip. But to many others, working means much more, self-acheivement, family, responsibility for that special one…And for me, working for me, though isn’t categoried to the second group, it’s definitely not as easy as Li’s…

Anyway, what I need to do now is to prepare well my resume first. Also, prastice my Englsih before it gets blunt. Meanwhile, I have to surrender the rented house and move all the stuff out (I moved the luggage out yesterday and the day before, yes, the days that it kept raining).

“No money, no sense of security.” Tough words, but I have to agree that is how life really is. Perhaps, it can even go further. No money, no respect, status, entertainment, enjoyment, living, eating, dressing, traveling, etc, etc. Damn, why is money so powerful and without money, our lives can be torn to pieces. People spit on you when you are poor and crawl all over you when you are rich. Some people go to such extremes to pamper the rich that I find it pitiful and amusing.

They say money is the fuel of progress, I guess it is so because it really does make people perform and work hard. One fen labor one fen reward.

Well, my friend, I guess you have been stung by such reality. Without a job or income, you are on the road to being destitute. However, don't think too much, walk where everyone walks. Find a job which can at least allow you to have a roof over your head and can at least allow you to look clean and decent. Should that new job be horrible, never mind, find again, change until you are at the right spot.

By the way, your writing is quite good, so English should not be a problem for you.

I have been through all this so I know what it is like. I have been to hell and back so to speak. Stand by you my friend. Go forward with vigor.

For me, no money, no food... then this status last long time, I will died from hunger.
No matter what kind of job it is ,just find one. If them don't pay salary, that is ok, only if the provide u a place to live, and meals you can eat.
Then, you can find a  so-called job, at least , you can accept.
Things will go better, I do believe.  All we need is that we must take action instead of thinking too much.

When you decide to resigh, you should think more about some things.
First, it will take a long time for you to find a satisfactory new job. Sencondly, you should have some money at hand to live a life. At last, you should be clear about what you want to do.
Good luck!
