Remote viewing, one of the abilities of extra-sensory perception, used to be called "science" in 1970s.If you believe in the ETs and their erraticly shaped spaceship, remote viewing will draw your interest.
The definition of RV is one depends on his paranormal way to gather information from a target who he can not see directly or be in the distance, which sounds like nonsense more. However, much to the people's surprise, this kind of paranormal ability is still be investigated by a small part of scientists who belong to Scientology. We can not deny others' belief but we can confirm a theory with our own eyes.At the beginning,it was just more a skepticism from than a scientific experiment. It didn't make any sense until the World War II and during that time the intelligence community of USA applied it to the military activities. At the same time this research were supported
by the government of USA in a large part. The most famous results from
that time was a description of Strategic Submarine and the location of
a bomber in Africa by the team of remote viewers. However, the enthusiasm
of RV didn't die out after the Big War.Since it is a special technology in classified document, the participates who had this "psychic ability" were selected and trained strictly by the army of USA.As the end of the War and the effect of Watergate, the CIA almost dropped the sponsorship and the popularity had a chance to access RV,which led a storm in 1990s.You can cheat public by the laud of the proponents but you can not cheat the history! In 1995,with the hire of the perennial contractor of the intelligence industry of USA,the government evaluated the program again to decide whether to invest amount of money into such a "science" or not.Although the previous research of RV showed about 15% above chance in correct information, the unit of CIA used the reason that the insufficient evidence were provided and critical data were used in the study to cease the financial support to RV.The RV was turned from decline to termination.
I
am in favor of the opinion that RV is nothing but pseudoscience. In
fact, most scientists who considered RV to be a pseudoscience had their
own reason.First, some cues were offered to the participants
inadvertently before the process of remote viewing and lots of studies
about RV didn't mentioned it.You actually have the ability to reflect
some related information by predication, especially when the targets are
something or someone you are familiar with.It is said the the remote
viewers who worked out positive results are those who had some
knowledge of the target organizations and their operations but not the
background of the particular tasking at hand.In other words,it is up to
your excellent ability to predict from the limited information not the
mysterious "psychic ability".In addition, the data appeared in the
research in not credible enough for the exponents always took the most
positive result to improve the scientificity. Most of the information
the participants offered were so vague that they can not be
used.Someone alleged that as far as the the paranormal is concerned, the
standard of the evidence should be higher for RV is so outlandish to
the world and it is really different from the other researches.Last but
not least,RV has not sufficient evidence. As a matter of fact it,I think
it almost no evidence to prove its own existence. The reason why I hold
this point of view is that the participants were "on" one day and "off"
the next, which can be not accepted by the science. The concerned
department has studied the brain-wave of those remote viewers to find
out the reason but they failed. No physical correlates can reveal the
secret of paranormal ability. All in all,RV is just a "science" which
lauded by the politics in order to be used in military action but is
abandoned ruthlessly in the end.It is a sacrificial lamb of the
innocence of knowledge and the desire to survive in the war.
I found China had conducted extra sensory perception researches at that time in Wiki.Is that the truth?Who can tell me......
