Ludwig van Beethoven: a very impressive person to me

908 views. 2010-1-26 16:50 |

Beethoven was born on December 17th 1770 at Bonn. At an early age, Beethoven took an interest in music, and his father taught him day and night. On March 26th 1778, Beethoven gave his first know public performance, at Cologne. In 1782, before the age of 12, Beethoven published his first work: 9 variations. Prince Maximilian Franz was also aware of Beethoven's gift, and so he sent Beethoven to Vienna to further his musical education. At Vienna, the young musician took lessons with Haydn. In 1800, Beethoven organized a new concert at Vienna including, notably, the presentation of his first symphony. In 1801 Beethoven confessed to his friends at Bonn his worry of becoming deaf. In 1815, Kaspar Karl Beethoven's brother died. He left behind his wife as well as a son, Karl who was brought up by Beethoven. Two years later, Beethoven began composing his mass in D. Before long, the ninth symphony was practically finished in 1823, which was a success. In 1826, Beethoven caught cold coming back from his brother's place. He died soon. The funeral rites took place at the church of the Holy Trinity.

As we know, Beethoven was a musician with deaf. We can’t imagine how miserable life he had lived and what difficulties he had overcome. Actually, Beethoven was not a perfect person.  Even we can say, at several sides, he was very wicked. For example, he might add some tremolo on purpose in order to let the pianist make mistake. The main reason why he shaped this character is that he had to support his family and suffered the pain of his mother’s death at an early age. Besides, he is a deaf, so he seldom communicated with other people, which make him feel so lonely. Of course, no one is perfect in the world. We can’t neglect the great contribution he made to music because of his personal problem. We must know about him entirely so that we can really learn about his music. There is no doubt that he was a talent in music. For his music, no matter how many difficulties he came across, he would overcame them. This is what we should learn from him—his strong will. if we want to finish a thing or reach a goal we must have this strong will. In our rest life we need a strong will to lead us to live a life.
