Assignment: use an action verb to describe this photo.

I'm very proud to say this is my good friend Doctor Lu Changji.  This photo was taken two years ago in my kayay on the Buffalo National River.  Changji was a student at the University of Arkansas, but hails from a small town in China.  He said, after I taught him how to drive my pickup truck, "I'm the only one in my village of 250 people who knows how to drive!"  We taught him how to drive on the way to California two years ago.

I'm proud to say he earned his master's and Ph. D. degrees on the same day.  Since his parent from China could not attend, he asked us to be there to act has his parents.  We were extremely proud of him.  He now works in the poultry industry for Tyson Foods out of Shanghai!  加油！

PS: "is" is not an action verb.  It is a passive verb.  To use an active verb, you could ask: "Do you know who sits in the kayak in this photo?"

Not quite yet. He is working for Tyson in the US until some time in June. He said he will travel within China when he returns, but will be based out of Shanghai.
