- I just now saw on TV news how the Japanese have rounded up hundreds of dolphins with the intention of capturing them and selling them off to restaurants, circus or other purposes.
I wonder why they believe they have the right to do that? It must be stopped.

- I do worry a little about such things, but I certainly have little control over the planet's 6 billion people. All I can do is be reasonable myself and perhaps teach ecological stewardship; I have trouble with even the first part of that!
That said, the whole concept of zoos is questionable. Do we have the right to cage over animals? That line of reasoning leads to questioning the eating of meat, etc. Ultimately, I feel we need to be responsible users of the world's resources, including dolphins. But, Douglas Adams said it right! Maybe dolphins are the smarter of the two species!
