Dreams: dogs and baths

474 views. 2014-12-30 10:55 |Individual Classification:Dreams| Dreams

Keeping the theme of dreams going, I just had another.  I only napped a few minutes, but my medicines have made for some interesting and vivid dreams in the last few years.

In this dream, my wife and I were standing outside our house with two dogs we used to have.  I have a video of them from nearly 20 years ago; the dogs are no longer alive today, but were much loved pets (to see the video, contact me on QQ 2563613199 and ask about the dog video).  In my dream both dogs needed a bath, but neither liked baths very much.  However, I pulled something out of my pocket, some sort of chemical.  I don't know what it was, but once in my hand it turned into a gas that I could see, much like a person can see car exhaust by the heat of the gases from a tailpipe.  That is, the gas was colorless, but it made waves in the air like heat waves rising off the pavement on a hot summer day.

The gas had little effect on me and my wife.  It smelled sweet (I usually don't smell things in my dreams, but I certainly did today) and the dogs loved it.  In fact, they acted like a bath was the best thing they could possibly have and no longer would fight getting in a tub.  Anyone who has bathed a large dog who hated baths knows such a chemical would be worth a fortune.  You could sell it and make your millions.  Not only did the dogs suddenly want to be bathed, they were actively seeking out the bathtub, knowing that's where they wanted to be!

Strange dream!  Why have such a dream?  My wife is currently staying in a house with four large dogs (not our house, not particularly because she wants to, long story).  Today, before my dream she told me she gave one of them a bath (she is 1100 km away from here).  I also probably had the dream as a side effect of my medicine (a prescribed pain medicine I prefer to avoid if possible).  Now, if I can only find out what I had in my pocket and how to make it, market it, and sell it to dog lovers everywhere whose dogs hate baths!  Ha!
