I've been flying for years. One of my favorite flights, from Los Angeles to Yosemite National Park in California, took about 15 minutes and the fantastic views amazed me. Last night, I tried a new technique, walking on air. If you don't think walking on air is possible, just watch Roadrunner and Coyote in the Roadrunner cartoon. The Roadrunner has the technique mastered. He can walk off the edge of a cliff into the air with no worry about falling. The Coyote, on the other hand, always tries it because it looks so simple. He will step off the cliff next to the Roadrunner and for a moment, he will pause in mid-air, looking at the Roadrunner next to him standing on nothing but air. For some reason, the Coyote always looks down, realizes he is standing on air and instantly drops to the ground in a cloud of dust. The fall, despite the whistling indicating it takes him hundreds of feet, never kills him. Within moments, he is up and running again. The Roadrunner, after watching the Coyote fall, simply zips back onto the desert landscape and continues running away. Looking down seems to be the key. If you look down, you fall. The Roadrunner never falls.
For me, I did the same thing last night. I walked off into mid-air with an air confidence that supported me, as I picked my way over some construction site scaffolding, walking on air as needed, without climbing to the ground, either onto more scaffolding or the nearby cliff. How do I fly? With ease and confidence, much like walking on thin air. I simply spread my arms and fly like Superman, or at least like those humans who wear a glide suit and glide off the tops of cliffs to the ground below. I find it very easy. No engine or backpack is needed. I just spread my arms and off I go, flying with ease, wondering why others don't try it. Sometimes, electrical lines get in the way or people on the ground try to pull me back to the surface out of jealousy, but often I can fly without those problems. It feels great and makes me feel free.
So, by now you may have figured out that I'm usually asleep and dreaming when I fly and last night when I walked on air for the first time. Perhaps it is a sign that I don't let other people slow me down and I simply do the impossible (like learning Chinese when everyone said, "You can't teach yourself Chinese)." Sometimes, to do what we want to do with our lives, we need to quit listening to the naysayers (those you say, "That's impossible") and just do it! It works for me.
Now, about those flying monkeys that were pulling colorful nets across the sky in the distance last night . . . . No, I'll save that for another blog.
Hardstudy: walk on air if it can be ture that would be a big news. Then our human beings can do much more than before we couldn't do
raicy: What a humorous way to write this blog! I enjoyed reading it.
Years ago I also flied in my dream for several times. One scene was that I for ...
