Based on the increased level of spam I’ve been getting on Gmail, I think I have figured out what I should do with my life. Obviously, I should pay more attention to email, as I have an “unread private message from Vivienne Jones” and a “new message in my inbox from “LinkedIn Support.” Is Vivienne Jones one of those “Christian Singles” that keeps trying to get me away from Sheila? The fact I’ve not checked my LinkIn account for several months would confirm the spam message as would the message from FedEx for package number 18138. Apparently FedEx is not getting much business these days to be able to use five digit tracking numbers instead of their usual letters and numbers that would cover several thousands worth of earthling’s packages.
The no I’m a scientists based on the “Call for Papers” from Garfield, not that’s spelled garjeaf! Dr. Nelson, whom I’ve never met, has a message titled “Look I found growing in your stomach!” Apparently, Dr. Nelson passed medical school without passing high school English. Or maybe he was using one of those “Hidden Wireless Cameras -- Watch from Anywhere sedgehead.” I wonder why they capitalized everything but my name. NGOA wants to sell me one too and says “Cops Use These sedgehead.”
They must have heard I plan to go to China (someday) because LendingTree wants to know, “Could you use extra money?” and for the “Cheap Airfare Deals” allowing me to “Fly comfortably for much less sedgehead.” I had planned to take Sedgehead on the trip, but I didn’t know I could pay in “sedgeheads.” I need to get my printer working and print some more “sedgeheads” since I can fly for “much less sedgeheads” now. With all that extra money, I need to print the coupons for new tires before they expire. That will go good with my free “gas card.”
Actually, I think I’ll give the free air fare gas card to Vivienne Jones so she can meet Dr. Nelson, the Christian Single, and they can use their camera to see why my stomach isn’t bothering me despite what Dr. Nelson says.

- Spam affects all email users. We are all annoyed by those useless emails clogging up our email box and having to delete them.
Actually, Gmail is great. All you have to do is to filter our those unwanted emails. I never had spam problems since I used the filters.
Do the following in Gmail:
- Click on Settings (The Gear wheel Icon) opens the settings page
- Click on ''Filters and blocked addresses''
- Has the words: (Fill in) Vivienne Jones
- Tick Delete or whatever
- Click Create Filter
- Finished.
You would not hear from Vivienne Jones hereafter. Nothing technical, just try a few times and you would hit it right.
How did you get these spam emails. When you search for China air tickets, the next day, you would start receiving ads and emails about China Airtickets.
They rely on ads so that is why email is free.
I am a business user of Gmail and receive lots of emails. Without the filers, my Gmail would be useless.
How I wish we have filters in our daily life so that we can have things the way we want it. Nice eh?

Gmial is good, while it does not access to the mainland. Those people who want to use it have to skirt it by the setting of VPN and then will be possible to log in foreign websites.
Years ago when google quited from the mainland, I felt sorry. And now I kind of miss it.
