Now cross-history TV shows are hot and popular. I am not one of them. They are for teenagers. But if you give me a chance to go back to history, I will definitely accept it, and disappear at once. Where I go? America in 1960s!

Charles Dickens didn't experience that time, but he worte the best sentences that totally fit for that period-- It was the best of times, it was the worst of times. You may go through paradise and hell at the same time, a second ago you are laughing, but a second later you are crying! Movements, movements!

Among all the movements, I like counterculture movement most. In my view, its the integartion of all the movements at that time, besides, it is started by the young generation.

They questioned American cultural and political norms, like the civil rights, the Vietnam War, nuclear arms, the enrivonment, sexual freedom and so forth. Imagine, what will you do when involved such a movement? Don't you excit?

And, young people drop out of school (I know you are smiling), leave cities, go to countryside to lead an experimental life, which maybe we call Utopia. What they want is just a simple life with peers, no war, no politics. What we do everyday is to search for peaceful mind through yoga, meditation and chanting. Its a spiritual rewakening.

They also change themselves in the clothes style, a strange style, we call it hippie. Now we adapt the hippie into yuppie, also a young modern lifestyle.

And of course music, the Beatles is one of them.

People say they are Beat Generation. I don't think so. It is a lifestyle, to fight with the industrial culture and savage battles, fight back in our own way. So 1960s is a revolutionary time as well as a floral time. Only you experence it, can you enjoy it. I always dream to back there.
