A professor, named Han Deqiang, from Beijing University of Aeronautics and Astronautics, slammed on an old man’s face, just because he critised Mao Zedong.
He issued an annoucement on September, 19th, declaring his so-called patriotism and love of Maoism.
He just can’t live with the title “professor”, this is my first-thinking comment. We don’t discuss his quality or whether his so-called patriotism is right, we just talk about demonstraters these days happened almost in every city in China.
Do I hate Japan? Of course, I do!
BUT.
First, the demonstraters seem not only demonstration, but destroying, beating, stealing, breaking, smashing and attacking. On whom? Most are chinese, our own people. Because? Just because they bought a Japanese car! We should express out hate, our unsatisfactory and our determination to get back Diaoyu Island, but not in this way. We shoudn’t put our anger on our commpatriots! This kind of pretests have changed what we originally want to express, we forget that all these we do don’t threathen Japanese, we just make a fool of ourselves. Besides, I saw an article recently, says, Japanese didn’t feel guilty or threathened by us, but thought, oh, this is typical Chinese, they are not rational and that’s it. We should think that, and change our way.
A book, translated literally here, called Diaoyu Island don’t belong to Japan, was published in Japan. Our people cheered for it. I think, maybe this is one reason that we can’t catch up with Japan in some way. They have different voices, opinions, and they can discuss it. And the violent actions I describe above is, unfortunately, a striking example that our education is not good enough! People are not calm, they don’t use head often, they use heart.
Another reson, in my personal opinion, why the demonstraters are so huge across the country, lies that maybe people transfer their anger, cynics, complaints about domestic politics to Japan, and it is a way for us to give vent to. I can’t stand any more, the bridge, the corruption, the beat-steward-thing, all and all, we can’t see hope of a better life, the widening gap between the rich and the poor, the increasing pushing-up price, the jobless situation, the unfair system, we have so many problems but we can’t say, and we can’t find a way to say. Governmrnt have done so much, whille they need to do much more.
On the hand, we must notice that when a legal demonstration is manipulated by someone, it is very easy to turn into violent issues that are out of control. We, ordinaty people, need to see clearly the right and wrong, and love oue country in a rational way.
One more word, and I know it is sensitive now, but I must say, I don’t like the sentence that Mao Zhuxi Wan Sui. No one could live that long, literally, so as a thought, we must move on, abandon what we should, accept what we need. Don’t take Maoism as a shied to beat someone, I mean, you, the professor, and many more persons just like you, use your head and when you speak, no, you guys don’t speak, just shut up!!
And, don’t use those banal slogans any more.
Look ahead, move on. Things will be solved. Your hard-working, your love-life style, your stay-calm, ……they are all ways to love our country. You know, sometimes you need to do it, not to say it!
