It was the first time I decided quickly to travel lonely, and it was also the first time that I have had a really good time with the tourists. I want to speak up that I love Lijiang, Shangri-la and Lugu lake, I love every Donkey in our group whether they are silent, lovely or hot-tempered and selfish. I loved that place deeply and I cannot savor it for leaving there in a hurry.

We arrived at Kunming by air from Beijing. Then we spent nearly 10 hours in getting to Lijiang. Maybe you all think that we must be tired, to your surprised, my answer is “not”. We were walking in the traditional shops, different style’s pubs and ancient streets. At that time, I was already lost in time and never noticed it.

 “ Lijiang, a beautiful place, It has been called the ‘Venice of the East’, some people go there on the honeymoon, some heal themselves to change the depressive mood, other just want to enjoy the old town’, these words are excerpt from one book about Lijiang, a donkey friend named Shijie carried. I liked it so much that can remembered clearly.

The second amazing place is Shangri-la, the vast emerald prairie with red, blue flowers and Yaks grazing quietly on it. In a mysterious valley which was surrounded by snowcapped mountains; near where there were snow-clad peaks, blue lakes, broad grassy marshlands and lamaseries, Buddhist nunneries. Among in the virgin forests, there are many stand tall, ancient, lush foliage trees with long beards like the same ones in the film of Avatar.

   On the long journey, the most touching of all is that the person of Shangxianyue, a good hearted boy, he not only organized playing games on bus but help the others to take bags or do other things. Ruirui, Youyi and Shijie also endured hardship to let us played happily.  I really appreciate them.

The most impressive for me is that the lamp was off when we climb to Prayer Wheel in Shangri-la which is called the world’s largest one. In the dark night, Youyi, Yanyan and I turned the Prayer Wheel for six times by the moonlight and flash light. At that moment, the night was so beautiful with brilliant stars and bright moonlight,  and I really love all the things: the dark blue sky, the cool wind and the quiet mountains.

If someone asks me a question: which is the most beautiful place in the travel. I must tell him it is Lugu lake without any hesitation. The water is blue like sapphire, clean that we can see the fish swimming in it.  You may appreciate the beautiful sight that the water and the skies merge into one color, the lake seems melt into the sky. There are wild colorful flowers everywhere around the lake.

On the lake there are five islands. They are different sizes and like green boats floating on the water. I have just been to Liwubi Island and Lige Island that are most notable.

Mystery and charm surround the lake, partly because it was once an unspoiled place and still retains much of its total nature beauty, but it was mostly because the Mosuo people who live there.

There is no marriage, it is called “Zouhun”, women or men can have intimate relationship with different persons at the same time. And the relationship lasts as long as they like. Children are brought up by women and use their surname of their mothers. Women hold the principal position in the society. It is so mysterious that we all like this kind of living style.

During this trip, I also found some beautiful songs of folk music, like ‘Kankan’ and ‘Dida’ which are Zhangxiaojing’s representative work. You can hear the beautiful voice of Zhangxiaojing’s in each Lijiang’s street . A French said he loved China because of this song of ‘Dida’.

The time past quickly, I have been back for nearly two weeks,

I still remembered everything clearly for the travel. One of my friends, Andy, who has ever told me his biggest dream was taking a trip on the desert alone with a SLRs. Maybe I cannot imagine his feelings at that time. But now I totally understand how he feels.
