Hi my friends, have you heard this village located at the very west of Beijing with such name, Cuan di xia? And the Chinese character inside its name is very complex, even me now can’t write it correctly. In fact I copied the character from Baidu search, hehe, laugh at me.

I have known this village before I came to Beijing yet, and at that time, maybe 7 years ago, after I saw a picture of it, I decided to be there when have a chance.

Then, yes, I do got a chance and went there several days ago and had really good time there with my friends!

Yes, this is quite a small village but with very long history. The selling point of it is—old style of the traditional Chinese yard settled on the hill.

Take attention to the open place where many people have food. Here in this village every family, or to say, every house is a hotel and restaurant. And the most amazing thing is that, all the families, or better to say all the restaurants have the same menu. Yes, not only the food kinds on the menu are exactly the same, and also the price for each food. And so does the accommodation price for each room.

From this point, you can see the people who live in this old style village are really live in peace and harmony. They made a same kind menu which contains their best local dishes and avoid cutthroat competition. While if some family want to be different, they still have their own way without change the menu list, and that is service and other things. For example, in the yard which we had food, not only had a big green tree inside the yard, also the owner gave us extra 8 zong zi (粽子)for free! And they are very delicious!

I like the hillside road, very long and little risky, reminded me of the roller coaster, hehe.

My friends were very very,,,, how to say, fit me! We have so much in common! And we followed each other’s mind so close! Amazing!

Though we spent 2 hours to arrive there, and 2 hours back for the sake of bad traffic, and only 2 hours stayed in this small village, we fell already great!
