Normally, neighbors are seldom to talk to each other those days in buildings. But in our community,I have some good neighbor friends because we are all housewives, and we all have similar age kids.
Recently, one of my neighbor friend, let’s call her Jane, is going to move back to her hometown with her husband and her daughter. They sold their apartment for nearly 200 million RMB, and spent around 100 million RMB bought a much better apartment in their hometown, ChengDu. There are two main reasons to push them moving, one is their HuKous are still in ChengDu, the other is the living expenses in Shenzhen is much higher, especially for kids’ educations fees.
They are not the only family which moved back to hometowns in the community in the last couples of years。
Shenzhen is a floating city. People come and go all the time. Most of residences treat this city as a place to make money instead of a home. The quietest time here is during the Chinese New Year holiday. At that time, people all back for spring festival. There are not many cars and people in the street. Some shops even shut down for two or three weeks.
However, this city is still attracting all kinds of talent to come and develop their careers. The average age of Shenzhen is only 26. Those young people give the city full of energy, new ideas, and creativities. That’s why people call Shenzhen is a young city.
