Years ago, there was a Japanese song named life is like a boat which I can still recall the melody. When its elegant tunes fell upon my ears, it made me love it ever since. Now, when I think of it, it suddenly dawn on me that it told us the truth of life in such a simple way. Life is like a boat. We are alone but not lonely, we meet difficulties but we keep moving.

Every one of us is just like a single boat which sails in ocean alone. When we come to this world, we are alone. We live in this world alone and we try to find out way only by ourselves. We keep moving on and finally we get to the destination all by ourselves. We live most of our life only facing ourselves. It is such a lonely journey that each individual pursue throughout the life. It is just like a sailing boat floating in the sea without any help.

Nevertheless, we are boats when we need someone to come along, there will always be someone to comfort and keep us strong. Though we are alone in the life journey, we come across a lot of people who will become our family, our friends and even enemies. They keep company of us and struggle with us. They make our life colorful and meaningful. It is just like when boat sailing in the sea, there comes another one all at once and it sails abreast of the former one for some time.

We are boats travel in the sea and the wave keeps on coming and we can never escape. Life is a challenge process in which we meet a precession of difficulties and troubles. Like boats floating in the sea, we can never get rid of them but accept and take advantage of them. The real lucky one is not those who seldom come across storms but those sail through it and fight against it. Our spirit is the sailing boat’s spirit—keeps moving and moving.

At last, we are boats which have to struggle against destiny and get to the final destination. I guess every one has his fatality, and they follow it throughout the life. In the pursuing process, our life become full and we make our way to the direction we choose. No matter who you are, you are involved in this course. We gradually figure out our way of life. Imagine in the endless sea, a thousand and one boats are all sailing towards their port just as we do.

Life is like a boat. We are alone but not lonely, we meet difficulties but we keep moving. God knows in the vast and stormy sea, thousands of brave and strong boats are sailing. We are those boats though aware of our destiny but never yield to it.
