On entering the snug, I realized that there would be more leaders coming here. I hadn’t expected that. I am really afraid to have a dinner with some leaders and colleagues. Because of those leaders, some people will take toasts to each other. I’m not used to it and don’t know how to deal with such conditions, either.
During the dinner, I just hope I can enjoy the delicious food with colleagues without taking toasts. If you’d like to have a drink, you can do as you wish. IF others can’t drink or take toasts, others can also do what they like.
So when I was asked to take a toast to those leaders, I told them that I would make you disappointed and couldn’t drink. Then I had to drink milk when some of them took a toast to me. Even though I am not a newcomer any more, I can’t become mature in eating with leaders. I think my character leads to my action. Sometimes, I admit that I envy some colleagues who can behave well on this occasions and meet the needs of the leaders.
For this dinner, when I and another girl were full, they were taking toasts happily. Actually, some fo them ate a bit except drinking spirits. I was really embarrassed to sit in silence and see them holding their cups and speaking aloud to each other. I couldn’t hear what they said clearly. They were just like holding a debate to persuade the other to take their ideas.
Finally, I found a chance to ask a leader beside me if we could leave now. He nodded and we were glad to get out of the noisy room and could breathe the fresh air outside.

- I really don't like to have dinner with business people, especially my smoking boss. If they want to drink with me, i will try my best to stop them, or i will put water in the cup to make it full and drink tea instead of beer.
Sometimes it's really a little embarrassing to have so many people eating together, especially there isn't anything to talk there and keep silent for sometime, i think that's why men like to drink together to break the ice and keep it warm, hha

- There is nothing men can say when men drink less,but when men drink much more then the communication is open and free.

- To be successful, you need to be able to handle most of the regular functions. You don't have to be a socialite. Just maintain a graceful and sincere attitude because after all they are the ones paying your salary.
I also don't drink and smoke. I know it is hard to decline alcoholic drinks but you can always use alternative drinks for toast which is common in other countries too.
