The book, a thousand splendid suns written by Khaled Hosseini is wonderful and I have read it a second time. Now I think it’s time for me to write something about the book. This book tells of stories of two women, Mariam and Laila. When Mariam was born, she was considered as a mistake. Her mother used to be a servant of his father who is one of the richest persons and has three wives and ten children, not including Mariam and her mother. In order not to disgrace his family and fame, he discards Mariam and Mariam’s mother, nana. However, her father sometimes spares his time to pay a visit at her. Even though nana tells her daughter that she is nothing in his father’s eyes and is not bound to be accepted, Mariam is looking forward to being a part of his family. When she decides to leave her cot to his father, she can’t see her mother at all. She is everything to her mother, so when mother loses her daughter, mother seems to have no reason to live in the world.
When she is in extreme misery of losing mother, her father makes up his mind to marry Mariam to a man who is about more than twenty years older than Marima. Then she comes to another city with her husband. In the beginning, she thinks she may have happiness here but when she failed to have a birth, her terrible fate has been upside down since ever. Marima is not a wife but a servant for her husband. Even she herself thinks she must be in the dark for her all life. While another woman, Laila gives her another life and makes her feel wanted and loved. In the end, in order to save Laila, Mariam kills their husband and she chooses to face the fate. Heading towads the goalpost, she wishes for so much in those moments. But she doesn’t regret in the slightest and feels in peace and calms down. In her mind, it’s not so bad, because she is leaving the world as a woman who used to love and be loved back. Her choice makes Laila enter into a new world with her love and her get rid of being beaten. The relationship between of Mariam and Laila is complex and real. What’s more, this story pulls readers into a world of of cruelty, despair, pain and poverty. As we know, life for the most of part has been unkind and cruel to people in the war-torn Afghanistan While reading it, you also can feel there are some moments of beauty, hope and power in it.

- This book must be interesting though your introduction.And your English is so good that you can describe this story so clearly.And you also have a good memory because of the accurate details.When I have enough time ,maybe I will choose this book to read.
