When I was staying at aunt’s, aunt cooked the ge da tang(pimple soup) that she is really good at for me. It tastes very wonderful and it is not hard for people who don’t have much experience in cooking to make at home. This is a northern traditional soup and almost everyone can do it skillfully. Returning home, I began to try to do it. In order to cook it better, I first surfed some information about how to make it. First of all, we should prepare some ingredients: a tomato, some flour, some water, an egg, some salt and some garlic cloves.

Then, pour a little water into the flour at a time while you should keep stirring the flour with the chopsticks in the same direction. You should go on doing it until you make the flour look like some snowflakes. That means you prepare it well.

Next, heat the water on the stove and clean the tomato. The important thing is to make a crossing mark on the top of the tomato after cleaning it. When the water is boiling, you should put tomato into the water. After about five minutes, you can take it from the water and remove the pill of the tomato. Now what you should do is to chop the tomato and some garlic cloves into slices. And you can turn on the electric stove and pour some vegetable oil. When the oil is hot, you can throw tomato and some garlic cloves into the cauldron right away until you can notice the juice of the tomato appear. The next step is to add some water (according to the amount of your appetite) and keep on heating it

When the water is boiling, you can put the well-prepared flour into the cauldron and keep stirring it. Now take the egg, crack it into the bowel and stir it.

Finally, pour the egg into the cauldron and stir the soup with the scoop. More importantly, don’t forget to sprinkle some salt on it before pouring the soup out of the pan and you can taste the traditional soup to your heart’s content and enjoy the color of the soup.

Wow, I’ m not shameful to show off and to say the soup makes me feel proud and confident of myself.     What’s more, it can motivate me to try to some new things. No matter how good or bad I do, I’m willing to challenge myself and enjoy the process of learning.
