The movie 'Agora' hits me a lot.

I never expect that philosophy is so powerful that people keep on searching for the truth even the truth are unbelievable by others.

Does that mean if we insist on searching we shall success?

What makes them obsess over thinking?

What makes the truth?

What holds them enthusiastic at the unkonwn?

Religion?

Science?

Or humanity?

 

She said, "Right now, this very second, the whole world can be moving and no one realize this".

And she asked, "Do you really not think this is important?"

He said, "I don't understand why you are insist on moving the ground they walk on. It's not necessarily mean the earth moves!"

"What if it does?"

"Look around you, death, horror, dsetruction. If this does, moves in a circle, why wouldn't they share the perfection with us?" He said with sadness and helplessness, " So we don't move."

She smiled with tears," in a circle, we don't move".

However, suddenly, at that very moment, she came to the truth--In the circle, we do not moving in the circle!

"Ever since the Plato, all of them,Aristarchus,Xibakesi,Ptolemy, they have all all try to work on the observations on the circular orbits. But what if other shapes hiding in the heavens? The purity of circles have blinded us from seeing everything beyond it! I must rethink everything... "

 

That's a philosopher's way to go during her life.

She, not only she but also every other one like her, were approching on in this way.

Settling in the religious war, being feard to nothing, focusing only on the belief what she believes, she told the Christian

moralists frankly and bravefully: I believe in Philosophy.

 

It proves the bleeding history of the religious war in those horrible days.

Faith speaks louder than words.

I am trying to understand her persistance and all she cares.

Perhaps only truth is the answer.

 

I do think it is incredible for people to get insane because of such unexisted things.

How to get rid of the damn faith?

How to survive in the isolating situation?

Why do they argue about who should exist but who shouldn't ?

Why do they must obtain the main ideology in the society only by the meaning of GOD?

Why couldn't they agree on each other by the truth? I wonder if the definiton of truth is terribly different in their mind and that holds all.

 

I hate history especially the Ancient Roman History very much.

It's rude, fatal, wild and originaEach time I comes to it, the first thought appears to be the rivers colored by blood, floating billions of innocent people on.People died without eyes closed, starring at the way paseed by.

However, people never stops their progress on science, philosophy and spirit. Never ever.

 

It's really hard to understand why a philosopher was doing the researh about astronomy for me.

But I learned the spirit.

As we develop, we need to live with eyes and thinking open.

Never stop the progerssing of looking for the truth.

That's how I explain 'faith'.
