Life is A Book

Life is a popular and eternal topic. For others, life can be a boat, a journey, even a box of chocolate. But for me, life is a book.

Life is a book. It is unlimited. It is an encyclopedia, an epic, or any other kind of book. And you are the reader.

You read disasters like the earthquake in Sichuan and the drought in southwestern China. They taught you gratitude, and made you more appreciative of the peace, our families and every drop of water.

You read personalities, then, you realize how beautiful these adjectives: open, persistent, independent, and enthusiastic are. You’ll make efforts to develop personalities. These beautiful adjectives will become yours.

Yes, you are the reader, but you know what, there is one and only book in the world, nobody but you can write in it. That’s right, that’s your own life. Looking back into your past, you’ll find many blanks. They are regrets. But life is so short, the more you write, the thinner it will be. So, say no to regrets.

Last year, I decided to write my autobiography and I was serious. So I bought a gorgeous, expensive notebook. But when I picked up the pen, suddenly, I felt puzzled; I didn’t know what to say. Just my name, the place where I was born, my families and something like these. Is that the life I want?  No, absolutely no.

I think we are the same. All of us want to make every chapter, every page of our life to be excellent. But yesterday is history, tomorrow is mystery. So, why not seize the day and make it happen?
