As a junior in high school, I still have not decided what subject I am going to major in for college. However, I am really looking forward to life at the university after high school. My hope is that I will be able to study and work at the same time, so I can pay for my own tuitions. I do not want my parents to carry the burden of paying my entire tuition. I also hope that I will have the opportunity to participate in foreign exchange programs or international studies during my college years, because I am very interested in experiencing different cultures, and traveling to different places of the world. I believe that by traveling to various countries and encountering many different types of people, my eyes will be more open to the world, and I will have a broader perspective in seeing things. I know that the world as a whole will be experiencing economic hardships during the years of my university studies, and therefore I might encounter some economic difficulties as well. But hopefully, the recession will be over by the time I graduate from the university.

After I graduate, I hope that I will be able to find a job which matches my major, and which I enjoy. No matter what type of job position I am in, I will always treat my work seriously and be responsible. I think I will enjoy life alone, because I am a very independent person.  My biggest dream in life is that I will be able to work well and earn enough money to buy my parents’ a house in which I can live together with them.  My parents have sacrificed so much for the family to immigrate to the U.S., and for me to acquire the right education. Therefore my biggest goal in life would be to thank them by helping them finally settling down in one place.

I also hope that I will be able to contribute to the society, which is why I will continue to volunteer even when I am no longer in school anymore. Those of us, who are healthy and able, should do the best we can to help others who are in need.

I truly wish that even when I am already working, I will still keep in touch with the friends I am close with now, because the friendships we develop during our school years are the purest friendships.
